For Vail Valley Halloween 2026, if you are deciding where to take the kids, two town events offer different options this weekend. Minturn’s celebration is Friday evening, Oct. 30. Vail’s free village Trick or Treat Trot runs Saturday afternoon, Oct. 31. You can choose the time and setting that works for your family—or visit both.

Vail Valley Halloween 2026: Minturn on Friday

The Town of Minturn lists its annual Halloween event for Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., or until the candy runs out. Families can trick-or-treat and take photos at Town Hall, 302 Pine St. The town says it holds the celebration on Oct. 30 each year, regardless of the day of the week.

For Vail Valley Halloween 2026, this is an early-evening option if your family wants to celebrate before Halloween day. Check the town’s event listing before leaving home, especially if weather could affect your plans.

Saturday: Vail Trick or Treat Trot

The Vail Recreation District’s Trick or Treat Trot runs Saturday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 5 p.m. The district says the event is free and does not require registration. Families can start in either Vail Village or Lionshead and look for participating merchants displaying an orange jack-o’-lantern bag outside the door.

Bring your own reusable treat bag. The district says the event takes place rain, snow or shine. For a quieter activity before the candy route, the same organizer page lists “Be-witched with Ms. Laurine” at the Vail Public Library at 1 p.m.

Vail parking and bus arrangements can change around events. Before you go, use the town’s event parking and transportation information linked by the recreation district.

Make a simple plan before you leave

Minturn’s Town Hall gathering and Vail’s merchant route have different layouts and hours. Check the organizer links for last-minute changes, dress for the evening or afternoon weather, and allow extra time if you are traveling between communities.
